Our story
A Love That Crossed an Ocean
Between Miami, Mexico, and Istanbul—three cities, three languages, three cultures—we found a peaceful home in each other. What began as two full, independent lives became a deliberate choice to build one life together. We’re not marrying because it makes sense. We’ve crossed Niagara Falls on a bike and parachuted into the Amazon for fun. We’re marrying because we’re deeply curious about each other, and want to witness, support, and share this journey through life. We choose each other, and we’d love to celebrate that choice with the people we love most.
The Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Originally built in the year 537 as a Christian cathedral, today it serves as a mosque and is the perfect embodiment of East meets West in our own story.

The whole package. A happy, humble woman who has lived many lives, full of contradiction, with the wisdom to show for it. Cuban at the core with an American freedom-lover’s mindset, engineer, yogi, dancer, outdoor adventurer-in-chief, Claudia brings many things, among them a quiet discipline with a fearless attitude, a deep joy and zest for life.
Sami
In his own words, “a super compatible guy,” a social butterfly with a kind heart and an eye for beauty. Diplomatic and cheerful, with a voice for radio. Sami is an engineer, photographer, and history buff who can recite a poem for every occasion. He loves his family, and brings patience, deep roots, and culture to this marriage.

After the Wedding
After the wedding, you’ll find the two of them honeymooning in Miami Beach, where it all started. In late September, the newlyweds begin their new life together in Istanbul, where they hope to begin growing their family before moving back to Miami.
